Week of April 6-10

Day One:  Listen to Storms by Seymour Simon, or read a story that you choose.

DayThree:  Write two sentences about how Tornados are different from Hurricanes.

Day Four:  Write two sentences about how Tornados and Hurricanes are alike.

Day Five:  Draw a Venn Diagram for Tornados and Hurricanes.  On one side, write two sentences about how Tornados are different.  On the other side, write two sentences about how Hurricanes are different.  In the middle, write about how tornados and hurricanes are the alike.   (You can use the work from day four to complete the Venn Diagram.)

Watch the character's traits lesson.  

Day Three:  Write about two characters' traits from the story Hellen Keller.  Give at least one detail to support the trait.

Day Five:  Write about two characters' traits from the story The Fisherman and His Wife.  Give at least one detail to support the trait.

Day Three:  Write how the narrator's (the person telling the story) feelings changes from the beginning of the story to the end of the story.  Write two details to support your answer.

Day Five:  Choose two characters and write traits to describe their character.  Give evidence to support the trait.
